After the enormous success of our last musical evening held at Lauderdale House and as part of the Composer Portrait series, HighgateHasHeart is staging “BELOVED CLARA”, an inspirational evening of music and readings, marking the 200th anniversary of Clara Schumann’s birth, her life, work and love, this time generously hosted at Highgate School in Dyne House.  Stars Juliet Stevenson and Henry Goodman will again join top concert pianist Lucy Parham. In this Composer Portrait created by Parham, they present a mesmerising study of the passionate relationship between Robert Schumann, his remarkable pianist wife Clara and Johannes Brahms, revealed through their music and readings from the Schumanns’ joint diaries.  

Tickets cost £40 adults and £15 for students and 25 and under (a small booking fee applies)and proceeds will go to Young Roots, one of the charities we support (charity no. 1139685), in aid of its work to help young refugees in London realise their potential. Tickets include a complimentary glass of fizz and canapés on arrival. There will be a cash bar in the interval and a fabulous raffle, as well as a chance to meet the cast.
